Replace Legacy Insurance Systems with a Modern Operating Platform

Regure replaces fragmented policy, underwriting, rating, claims, document, finance, broker, MGA and reinsurance operations. Move in controlled phases, consolidate the operating record, then retire the legacy stack.

Legacy systems become liabilities when the operation works around them

A legacy insurance system is not defined by its age. It becomes a liability when product change requires development, integrations fail without visible ownership, policy and claims data disagree, and staff maintain the real workflow in email and spreadsheets.

The result is an operation paying twice: once to maintain the system of record and again to operate the manual processes it cannot support. Regure replaces that fragmentation with a configurable operating platform.

Phased migration is a way to control risk, not a strategy for maintaining two operating models indefinitely. Every phase needs a destination, reconciliation method and retirement event.

Across the insurance lifecycle, one governed record

A submission becomes a quote, a quote becomes a policy, a policy produces documents and premium, and a claim tests the coverage. Regure keeps those events connected.

Configure the product

Version rates, rules, wording, authorities, documents and workflow with effective dates.

Underwrite and bind

Structure submissions, price risks, control referrals and convert only the accepted quote.

Administer and service

Endorse, cancel, reinstate and renew without reconstructing the original policy.

Claim, account and report

Use the bound coverage for claims, financial movements, bordereaux and operational reporting.

Replace in phases without a multi-year big-bang programme

Select a coherent slice, prove it end to end and expand from a working target platform.

1. Baseline

Inventory systems, products, data, documents, interfaces, controls and manual work.

2. Configure

Build the target product, workflow, permissions, templates and integrations in Regure.

3. Migrate and validate

Rehearse data transition, reconcile control totals and test real lifecycle scenarios.

4. Cut over and retire

Move users and integrations, close exceptions, preserve required history and decommission the replaced stack.

Who replaces legacy operations with Regure

MGAs and coverholders

Replace separate rating, policy, claims, document and bordereaux processes for delegated books.

Brokers and reinsurance brokers

Replace placement spreadsheets, document templates, client records and commission reconciliation.

Carriers and TPAs

Move specialist books, claims operations or acquired portfolios onto a controlled platform and retire fragmented tools.

Replacing legacy insurance systems

Can Regure replace a legacy policy administration system?

Yes. Regure can run products, rating, underwriting, policy administration, documents, claims, finance workflows and reporting. The replacement boundary is scoped around the books and capabilities being migrated, with explicit reconciliation and retirement criteria.

Does replacement require a big-bang migration?

No. Migration can proceed by product, programme, entity or renewal cohort. Each phase moves a coherent operating slice onto Regure and ends with retirement of the legacy workflows and interfaces that slice no longer requires.

What happens to historical policy and claim data?

Active and service-relevant history can be migrated into the operating record. Archive-only history can remain in a governed, searchable retention store. The split is based on operational, regulatory and legal needs, not convenience.

How are product and rating rules migrated?

Products are reconstructed as versioned configuration covering eligibility, coverage, limits, rates, referrals, documents and workflow. Representative historical and new-business scenarios are recalculated and approved before cutover.

Can Regure replace fragmented MGA and broker systems?

Yes. The same platform can run delegated products, broker intake, policy servicing, claims, commissions, documents, bordereaux and compliance evidence, removing the handoffs created by separate tools.

How does Regure control migration risk?

Through repeatable migration rehearsals, source-to-target control totals, field and document sampling, lifecycle testing, named business sign-off, cutover decision thresholds and an agreed rollback approach.
